Also, I'm teaching a "How to Start a Podcast" class! It will be at the Daybreak Library on September 30th from 1:00-2:00pm. I tend to overdeliver, so it will be about much more than just starting a podcast! Sara Elbert is the owner of the Daybreak Treasures Boutique. She was instrumental in helping me start networking within Daybreak. Sara creates community by bringing together local artisans, authors, and creatives. She offers their work for sale in her online boutique and gives them a space to be showcased. Sara is a great example of how friendships can be formed by connecting with local people around you.

Did you know elephants are a matriarchal society? Even elephants know that it takes a village--calf survivability greatly increases with an increased number of females taking care of them. How are we doing at checking in on those who have recently (within a year) had a baby? If you don't know anyone who has recently had a baby, how are the other mothers in your life doing? Do they need a nap? A break? Self-care? If you have the capacity and resources--offer help! I know they will thank you.
